Have you seen your vet about this?
Could be an allergy, could be something else (don't know if it could be something like ear mites). You can give her a benedryl tablet twice a day to help with the itching and also will help her rest. However, she should be seen by a vet as the cycle of licking, scratching can make whatever is going on worse. The vet may give her a shot of a pregnisone-type med that will help with any inflammation and itching and may also give her some anti-biotics to take care of any infection that may be present. Yes, she's been seen by a vet who gave her an injection and tablets but they
don't seem to work! I just wondered if anyone knew of something that would work on allergic dermatitis, which is cheaper than £ 80 for every visit and that actually works! can anyone help?
I am looking for anything that will help my springer spaniel. she constantly scratching, licking and biting her paws and ears, making them raw and inflamed. Does anyone know anything that could help her? Food allergies are a good possibility. Ask your vet about Hills Z/D food. We find that many pets who have these symptoms are greatly relieved after about 2-3 weeks on Z/D. If the symptoms are relieved, then you have your answer. Could also be a combination of food and environmental allergies. -Sharon |
