My 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer frequently pants throughout the day, even
when there is no way she could possibly be hot. This happens sometimes 10 or 15 times a day, lasting anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. I took her to her vet, who checked her out, and he found nothing wrong. Does this sound normal? Has anyone else ever had the same behavior? Beth |

This is not terribly unusual. Sometimes a specific reason can be found
and sometimes it can't. But there's panting and there's PANTING. If it's the latter, I'd watch to see what's going on as she starts this, and how long it lasts... Does her breathing sound "wet" and gurggley or basically normal? Wheezey? Stress can cause panting. Not all stress is bad... Exercise, heat, excitement.... Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia |

My cock-a-poo does this, more frequently at night. I had her to the vet =
who x-rayed her lungs and it seems that she has 3 spots on them. She is = 17 years old and because of her age, he cannot biopsy them. However she = also does this when she needs to go out. Allergies and any medication containing aspirin can also cause this. = Good luck. K. "Beth Geddings" wrote in message = . com...
