Hi everyone, just wanted to update that our girl had surgery on Tuesday, the
vet
wanted to do the surgery as soon as the tests came back, she came through it
wonderful, she's still a little disoriented from the anasthesia but we went

through the same thing when she was spayed many years ago.

So glad your girl is doing well!

So am I, this week turned out a lot better than last week for us.

She's off the Rimadyl and on Etogesic for 2 weeks, then the vet suggested we
try adding vitamins to the supplements she already takes.

Great idea! My old gal Shilo is one several to maintain her aging joints. I'm
assuming your vet has suggested the carrots for beta-carotene, an anti-oxidant.
They are very high in sugar, though, so keep an eye on her weight.

Thanks for mentioning that, I have to ask the vet how she can lose weight and
have 1 cup of carrots. He wants her to lose some weight as soon as possible,
right now I'm hoping she starts eating anything, she's still a little out of it.

I also give
Shi Vitamins C, E and a liquid glucosamine. Another good one is alpha 3 omegas
such as flax seed and/or fish oil.

She takes a multi vitamin that has all but the flax seed in it, so I hope it
does good for her.

She is almost 14 now, recently had a
cervical surgery, and is running around like her 3 year old brother! Best of
luck with your gal!

Thanks, you too!
