Short article about a study done which supports the "hygiene hypothesis*" in allergies. *That being the growing body of evidence that U.S. society's fixation with cleanliness and protecting young children from sources of infection actually harms children long-term. Relevant to pet ownership in that there's some evidence that it contributes to dog/cat allergies.
