I'll keep the idea in mind, though, in case he starts messing with it

more.
At the moment, I'm getting the idea that its not something I need to call

the
vet about yet.

you're welcome. and i think you're right. i completely understand your
situation, Lola gets little bumps and scabs and such all the time, and i'm
constantly worrying about whether i should take her in for this or that.
i'm learning that if it isn't bothering her, i should give it a week and see
if it goes away before rushing to the vet. i think it's a good rule of
thumb.

Yup.
I had been getting pretty good at diagnosing lumps and such, but this one was
just a different kind in a different place. Hard knotty ones I don't like to
mess with, but this one seems probably pimlish or cystish....

Thanks again.

On 9.11, let us remember the fallen and their families. God Speed.

Its a dog-eat-dog world out there, and I'm wearing
milk-bone underwear.

Hi Dimpled one!

Hey! Good morning, Diddy!

Skritches to the pimpled one! After the vet verifies that it is a cyst,
You might find this paper at http://www.bright.net/~kparks/cysts.txt of
some help.
diddy

Very Many thanks! A quick glance looks like it might well be of help. I
appreciate it, and so does Frankie...

My best to your crew..

oh my! where do they usually get them?

Chest (which is often nearly hairless, and is in contact with whatever
dirty stuff they're lying in).

some short haired dogs get blackheads down their spine too.

Really. I've never seen or heard of that. I wonder what causes
those? Too much sleeping on their backs in the dirt? Is it just dogs
that have fairly thin hair there? Otherwise how would you find them?
