Default Kristen how is Kali

Hi Kristen,
I haven't seen you mention how Kali is doing lately.
Have she gotten her stitches out yet? Is she starting
to feel like her old self?

Here's to hoping to hearing a good report on Kali.

Give her hugs.

Gwen

Thanks for asking--she's doing great! She bounced right back, I could barely
keep her in the house, she was sooooo bored. Her stitches came out last
Friday and she went to her first tracking practice on Saturday (vet said it
was ok). The incision is mostly healed with 99% of the scab already fallen
off. She was such a good girl, never once tried to get out of her t-shirt or
pick at the incision.

Tracking is serious fun. I wish we found this trainer sooner.

Hope all is well with you.

Kristen
I am so thrilled to hear how well Kali is doing. Dogs are amazing
how fast they rebound!

I want to do tracking bad. My one trainer is very involved in
it but she is no tracking instructor. Or so she says.

Would you mind asking your instructor if they know of a good tracking
instructor
in Austin, Texas area or there abouts.

My trainer drives all the way to Houston several times a week to go to one
of the top AKC tracking persons around.

I am glad you have found yet another sport that you and Kali enjoy!

I sent an email to her to see if she knows anyone but in the meantime
checked the AKC website and the following clubs came up that are near
Austin, they are not tracking clubs but had themselves listed in the
tracking search engine. Perhaps one of them can put you in touch with
someone closer.

German Shepherd Dog Club of Austin
Corresponding Secretary : Wende Welch
Address: 19918 Lindeman Ln, Leander, TX , 78641-9000
Website: www.geocities.com/petsburgh/5265
Club Type: Specialty

San Antonio Dog Training Club, Inc.
Corresponding Secretary : Gail Clark
Address: 4714 Lorelei Dr, San Antonio, TX , 78229-5036
Website: www.sadtc.com
Club Type: All Breed

Books my trainer recommened:
Tracking from the ground up
Enthusiastic tracking

She said not to pay too much attention to the lesson plan schedule, work at
your own pace.
Good luck!
