I have been debating this for quite a while. My dog needs to be
expressed 1-4 times a month. He has plenty of fiber, but it's not doing the job. He would chew on his rear until that smelly stuff gets all over him.I have read in this newsgroup about people who had injections to stop the glands from producing that nasty stuff. How safe is it? What are the risks or rather how big are the risks? Do I need to go to a specialist or will the regular vet have enough experience? What happens if the injection misses the sac and goes elsewhere? I love my dog and don't want anything bad to happen to him. Any advise would be appreciated. -JM |
