Dogs whose diet shift a lot can have problems. When I switched my dogs over recently from Pedigree to ProPlan, one of them had diarrhea for a couple of days, because of the transition. That's why it's advised to take about 10 days to make the transition. 1/4 new food, 3/4 old food for 3 days. Then 1/2 and 1/2 for 3 days. Then 3/4 and 1/4 for 3 days.
