Default Evening Primrose Oil

I recently took my 6 year old Border Collie for his annual booster
vaccination. The vet noticed that my dog is suffering from dry skin,
and he recommended I give him Evening Primrose Oil. Would it be OK to
give him capsules that are intended for human consumption, or should I
buy a special doggy version? (The ones intended for humans are not as
expensive!).

I already have a supply of combined Evening Primrose Oil/Cod Liver Oil
capsules (500mg of each combined in a capsule) that I take myself,
would these be OK to give to my dog?
