Default Doggie Dandruff

I believe there are different types of fish oils one can add to their dogs
food to help with dandruff. Does anyone one of what works best and/or any
particular recommendations.

Thanks.

Fish oils seem to be pretty much equal. I buy plain old Fish Oil Caps
at the health food store.... They work just fine.

i adopted a dog a few months ago and he had terrible dandruff when i got
him. i changed his food to a higher quality brand and the dandruff went
away on it's own, no oil additive necessary. i didn't want to add oils to
his diet because he's a bit overweight and the oils obviously add fat.

what are you feeding your dog? you might try something that has fish oils
in the food, that way you won't add too much additional fat.

that said, i give my skinny dog salmon oil, and her coat is very shiny and
soft. :-)

Try some flax seed oil in her diet or better yet ground up some flax seed
yourself and sprinkle it on the food. Flax seed is very rich in omega 3 and
omega 6 oils which are very good for the coat of your dog.
also do yourself and your dog a big favour and try looking up some info
about the barf diet. It works very good for me.
cheers
John.
