Hi. I have a male, 11 month old Pekinese dog. He is in a large crate when I
am at work which is 5 hours a day. When he is out of the crate he acts like
a Tasmanian devil or the energizer bunny. He has endless amounts of energy!
I don't let him play for more than about an hour at a time, because he
thinks it's easier to stop, wee, and play more. He know that he is supposed
to do his business outside!

My question is: I read that Pekinese are supposed to be a lap type dog. I
wanted a dog that would sit with me. The only time he is on my lap is when
he is crossing through going 100MP! Do they eventually quiet down?
