Default dog sneezes alot

Hi,

My dog sneezes very easily. I'm not sure if its allergies or what but
she'd sneeze at least 10~15 times a day and most being 2 times in a
row or even 3. These are big sneezes too where she'd nearly hit her
nose on the ground and in one or two cases actually bangs her nose and
it'll be a bit scratched or bloody. I don't know what triggers it but
it alot of it seems to be just dust. Her nose drips too a bit but
aside from that she's perfectly healthy. My vet says she probably has
a very sensitive nose and it probably isn't anything to worry about
but I'm still worried. Any advice on what I can do?

Thanks

Nick

My dog Brandy does the same thing. My vet put her on 50mg of Benedryl daily
for her allergies. When the allergies get really bad I increase her dose to
50mg twice a day. It seems to do the trick for her. If I don't give her
the Benedryl she's sneezing and has runny goopy eyes constantly.

Allergies can develop at any time in a dogs life it could be something new
in the house or seasonal allergies. If this sneezing is something new have
you added any new cleaning supplies to your house. Things such as carpet
cleaners, carpet fresheners, spray cleaners or even a different brand of
floor cleaner. If there is no such new thing that you can eliminate to see
if the sneezing goes away I would guess it's probably seasonal allergie.

I'd ask the vet again about it. If he's not responsive to your dog then
maybe you need a 2nd opinion.

If it is allergies, you can try feeding the dog some local honey in her
food. This will help build immunity and you will not need any meds.
