Missy is a wonderful 1 1/2 year old golden retriever/shepherd/akita
mix. Her only problem is submissive urination which we can't get
under control because she perceives new hubby as "big dog", causing
more problems in the home. Any leads on finding a good home?
- Ack ! Let me get this right ? You want to give up your wonderful 1.5
year old dog because she pees when your new husband comes in ???? Good
grief. Have you ever considered training her and giving her time. perhaps
training new husband. A dog is not something you buy and then get rid of
because you don't feel like dealing with it anymore. Perhaps you should have
though about this before you actually got the dog.
I will take the poor dog off your hands. Which one of mine do you want
in trade. The fear aggressive one that will attack your husband on sight or
the dominance aggressive one who will chomp your new husband's arm off the
instance he tries to get the dog to do something he doesn't want to do, or
tries to get hold of his collar ? You see, you actually have a nice and very
good dog on your hands. It could be much worse. Oh and if it is new husband
who wants you to get rid of the dog, he is not worth it. My man stuck around
getting bitten several times by my fear aggressive one, until we had worked
through her insecurity with him, you see some men are keepers others are
not. If your man wants to throw out the dog, then what is next. Keep the dog
and work with her, she deserves it.
If you still want to get rid of your dog, then DON'T ever get another
animal. Animals are too good for that kind of treatment.
huge grin Great post, Lone. The OP's post belongs on
rec.pet.dogs.dumpmydog, not rec.pet.dogs.rescue.
BTW, how is your GSD doing? I can't recall his name, is it Picnic?
Which is kind of ironic if it is.
