Default 13 yr old Dachshund burrowing

Our Dachshund has started this thing recently where he apparently needs to be under something during the day while we're at work. He
pulls the pad out of his dog bed, we have a sheet tucked into the couch that he paws up and climbs under, an oval floor rug that he
does the same thing with, he even tries to get under a small bathroom rug. I know Dachshunds are burrowers, I was wondering if one
of those enclosed dog beds might make him happy.

Probably! Throw in a towel as well, and he'll undoubtedly be happy as a clam.

When I got a cat who was interested in climbing a wooden pole in my family
room, I thought "hey - bet he'd like a cat tree". had never considered one of
those things before, but don't know why now - both cats adore it!

Sometimes the pets are pretty forward in telling us what they want.
