Default Our Homeopathic Vet lost his house in the wildfires in San Diego County. Can h

Hi:

Some of you might remember me from a few years ago. One of our Collies
(Snow) had terminal cancer and we were then seeking alternative
medicine for her. We got hold of a homeopathic Vet (Dr. Stephen
Blake), who awaken us to this form of treatment. He made me, a
skeptic, a believer in homeopathic medicine.

Most of you probably know of the wildfires that have affected San
Diego County area. One of the fires destroyed our homeopathic Vet's
house in the Scripps Ranch area. This is not a scam. If you look under
the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy site: http://www.theavh.org you
will see that he is listed
(http://www.theavh.org/members/custom/sblake.htm). If you go to
http://www.scrippsranch.org/ you will see that his house was
destroyed.

We are all lovers of our animals. Here is one of our Vets needing our
help. Maybe you know of Vets can might be interested in helping with
equipment.

Thanks

Roger Covalt

Dear Friends,

I am very sad to tell you that Dr. Stephen Blake and his beautiful
wife Charene have lost their home and office to a fierce wildfire--- a
blaze that devastated their entire Southern California neighborhood.
Fortunately, they both narrowly escaped without injury, and no animal
lives were lost.

All of Stephen''s and Charene''s material possessions were lost in the
fire, which swept through on Monday, October 27. Steve''s professional
tools, including a very extensive library, has been lost as well.

The Blakes are now staying with family in San Diego, where they are
surrounded by loved ones during this very difficult time. I spoke with
Steve and Charene this morning. Although still in shock, their spirits
are high. However, as one who has experienced losing "everything" to
fire three years ago, I know that the following weeks and months will
be very, very hard for them. They need your help and kindness to
heal--- and to find their path away from the ashes that just days ago
was their cherished home of several decades.

To help Stephen and Charene, Joan Holden and I have set up a relief
fund and a donation depot through our Animal Essentials office in
Carlsbad, California. Anything you can contribute to help our friends
rebuild their lives will be greatly appreciated. Books, veterinary
practice supplies, clothing, kitchen equipment, anything at all---
please ship it via UPS or FedEx to:

Steve & Charene Blake, c/o Animal Essentials Inc.
2205 Faraday, Suite M, Carlsbad, CA.

We will keep your shipment in safe storage until it is promptly
delivered to them.

Or, if you wish, you can send USPS parcels or letters directly to
Steve and Charene. Send them to:
11368 Red Cedar Way, San Diego, CA 92131

You may also contribute money. Insurance money is often slow coming,
and living expenses, combined with recovery expenses (clothes, etc.)
can dry up a personal bank account very quickly. Any amount you can
contribute will be greatly appreciated, and will be deposited into a
relief fund account that has been set up and funded specifically for
Steve and Charene''s recovery through Washington Mutual in Carlsbad,
CA.

Please make your check payable to: "Charene and Stephen Blake Relief
Fund", and mail it to: Animal Essentials. P.O. Box 131388, Carlsbad,
CA.

We will deposit your check into Steve & Charene''s relief account, and
funds will be distributed to them on a biweekly basis along with a
detailed list of everyone who has helped them out. If you would like
more information about this account, please call Teresa Williams,
account manager, at Washington Mutual: (760) 929-2706.

As most of you know, Stephen and Charene have selflessly offered their
talents and love to us and our animals for a very long time. Now, as
my friend Steve might say it, it is time for us to "pay it forward"---
in the form of love, support and prayers for two special people that
have done so much to heal countless humans and animals alike.

Sincerely,

Roger Covalt
