Default Help Quick! Pound Puppy too shy...

Have a 14 wk old lab mix adopted from pound. She is so scared and shy of
people. We can barely catch her in our yard. She wags tail and plays
sometimes, and loves our adult fem germ. shep. She is too scared to get a
treat from our hand. SOMETIMES she will run up and grab and run away
quick... but rare. Hides behind trees. We have until Fri to "return"
her. I have an 8 month old baby too. Wanted dog as friend for adult
dog... a puppy to be raised w/ my daughter. Is there hope for my puppy
biscuit? Or do I need to take her back

TO dfrntdrums@aol... Yes, the puppy is outdoors. She is inside right
now... however, I have to "catch" her and carry her inside because she is
scared to walk through the doorway. She seems to think that the door will
slam in her face (this has never happened.. at least not w/ us). I am
also afraid that "chasing" her and "snatching" her up to bring her inside
is not a good idea. Plus, it is very difficult to take her out for a
potty break when I know that I may not be able to get her back inside.
She is cuddling w/ my shepard under the table right now and I am
refraining from approaching her and "ignoring" her. I am attempting a new
tactic. PLEASE OFFER ADVISE IF YOU CAN! thank you...
