Default How many eggs are ok for dogs ?

I have a one year old German Shepherd who weighs apx 110 pounds.
We also raise chickens, and we sometimes mix extra eggs in his food,
He loves them, But could this be harmful ?

Raw egg whites will break down the necessary nutrient called Biotin.
Now and then a raw egg won't hurt.... but cooked is terrific... or
soft-boiled. Eggs are a very compete form of nutrition, so I wouldn't
worry about numbers, but do cook the whites if it's more often than one
occassionally. My guys think that they've died and gone to heaven when
they get a scrambled egg mixed into their food.

.........The avidin in the eggwhite binds with biotin, a B Vitamin and makes
it unavailable. There's plenty of biotin in the egg yolk to offset this
problem as even the egg white has some biotin. Just don't feed plain egg
whites or it will take biotin out of the body.

I read this thread and decided to feed my dog some hard boiled egg mixed in
with her dry kibble. The next day she had the runs pretty bad the next day.
I can't feed her anything but her regulary dry food straight w/o her having
problems
