Default Teaching Puppy To Sit

I have an 8 week old lab/boxer mix that I am trying to teach to sit.
I think I am having some progress but one problem I have is that he
likes to throw his front paws on my hand with the treat as I move it
over his nose. As a result he can then just back pedal and it's hard
for me to get the actual sit! Does anyone have any tips they could
share?

Thanks,
Jon

As soon as his paw comes up to touch your hand, pull the treat away and tell
him EH. You'll be a yoyo for a while, but eventually he'll inhibit himself
from using those cute little paws.

Also, it might help to back him against a wall.
