Default Solution to The Dilemma

http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=3414189

They met him yesterday, and SIL fell in love. They pick him up on the
30th, after he has recovered from his neuter.

She's already talking about how her dog is going to beat up his dog :-)

Nice dog, but where's the Chow in him? I don't see it in the fur, face,
legs, etc.

What wonderful news!!!

He looks ferociously goofy. I'm glad he gets to move indoors.

You're looking in the wrong place, Lia. It's those spots on his tongue.
Since you're the owner of a Chowy dog, I'm really disappointed that
you didn't realize that all dogs with spots on the tongue are part Chows.
