I must disagree on both points Diane.
$400.00 would be easy to get for a lot of pure bred animals.

We aren't talking about a lot of purebred animals. We are talking about
one pet quality beagle that is well past the cute puppy stage. Anyone
who would pay $400 for the dog are extremely naive at best. You are
extremely naive, at best. Start volunteering at your local animal
shelter, the kind that kill the dogs that aren't adopted. Then you will
have a realistic picture of what life and death is like for a teenaged
beagle of typical pet breeding.

The breeder should accept it back to what degree?
100% refund, board and feed and advertise ...?

Well if YOU think its actually going to be able to be sold for $400 then
gee why not offer $100 for it. But no, its not going to sell to any
intelligent person for that amount. A full refund is not due unless
there is something wrong with the dog. Value of the dog i.e. $50 is what
a CARING breeder would pay just to keep the dog from dying in a shelter
or ending up a backyard ornament. Unfortunately average breeders are
more like you and refuse to take responsiblity for it. Meanwhile their
greedy eyes ignore the reality of the dogs in the shelters to make wild
claims about the value of purebreds. So we continue to kill dogs by the
millions.

If you refuse to take responsiblity for the dogs you bring into this
world DON'T BRING THEM INTO THIS WORLD. If you can't afford to take the
responsiblity then choose another hobby. Don't create dogs if you can't
or won't keep them out of bad situations.

Would you care to detail what was nonsense about her post. I thought it was
spot on.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Volunteer for a kill shelter - I dare you. You won't do it because your
fantasy world will be destroyed. You will get to learn the truth about the
"value" of 8 month old purebred hounds.

Right now you are committed to intentional ignorance.

You honestly don't see what she is saying? What is there that you think is
silly and nonsense? I am looking, and I just don't see it.
