Dog diabetes, Gourdin ??

I have a female lab , 4 years old who is diabetic. We currently give her
6 units of insulin twice a day. Does anyone know any thing about this
" Gourdin" I have read about on the web. They say it reduces, or
eliminates the need for injections and helps the pancress to recover.
Has any body used this , or is this all bs.

any help is appreciate.
