Default I have a dog, boyfriend has cats

I've been dating a great guy for 10 weeks and he has two male cats and
I have one female dog. All are about 7 years old.

We brought my dog over his house and she largely ignored the cats but
they came over to bug her and she chased them; the rest of the time
they spend in hiding.

I need some advice on how to have them get along. My dog is mixed
breed cocker/lab and weighs about 50 lbs. She is not crate trained
and we don't plan on leaving them alone together.

Cats have full run of the house, and my dog is used to the same at
home.

Cats are declawed.

What suggestions can you offer on this topic? Thanks.

My wife and I live in a house divided. Cat get the bedrooms with
litterbox in bathroom. Dog gets LR/DR and and is fed in the kitchen.
They are both about 10 and the dog has a history of killing cats for sport.

Not ideal since they are jealous of each other, but it is workable.

It's best to keep you a dog on a lead to start with or keep the cats
out of the room if she is off leash. You can reward her with a treat
for not chasing the cats. I don't think the cats came over to her to
bug her, they came over to investigate her, which is what a dog would
do in the same circumstances. They're hiding now because they had a
bad experience with the dog i.e being chased, so its impertative that
she doesn't get the opportunity to chase them again.

Cats are declawed.

If anyone is thinking about getting their cat declawed, please read
these websites first.
