Default Kansas City - Boarding Kennel Recommendation

I'd like to hear any recommendations for a boarding kennel in the
Kansas City area, preferably experienced with large breeds and hounds.

I've been using a kennel but have become increasingly unsatisfied with
their level of care - 3 times now my two boys have come home with
minor injuries that haven't been noticed by the kennel staff. It's
that they go unnoticed that I'm unhappy with. In other respects the
kennel is good, offering group play and lots of personal attention,
nice indoor/outdoor runs with plenty of room, and the staff seems good
at handling them.

I board my boys when my wife and I travel (very infrequently) and
always for less than a week. This last time our youngest returned
with insect bites on his belly and a raw area on his elbow. The oldest
has pad wounds on both of his back feet, one serious enough that he's
visiting the vet tomorrow. Another time it was a large scrape on a
hind foot that required veterinary attention. Maybe I'm being too
picky, but I feel like the kennel should at least notice things like
this.

My dogs are 3 and 2 years old and live indoors. They love people and
are basically large, gentle and spoiled.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Ask co-workers, friends.... Contact area dog training schools and ask
them; between staff and students over a number of years, they will often
know of a number of good places... and places to avoid like the plague.
For instance, where I teach, we have about 4-5 places we recommend, and
a few others that we'd accept if the first group were filled up... same
for groomers. One of the better places in our area was grandfathered in
a residential neighborhood that grew up around it... so they don't
advertise in the yellow pages and list in the white pages only under the
owner's name. The fanciest place is not one that we recommend....
