Hi;
I have been working in Kenya for a year and will be leaving to return to the UK in June. I have aquired a very loving fantasicly natured Ridgeback about 18 months Old. How can i move him back to the UK, he is all Jabbed up and I believe I can get him Microchipped in kenya. I understand that Kenya is not yet covered by the Pets Passport scheme, if this is the case if I return to UK will he have to go into quarantine for 6 months??? If so how do I arrange this?? i would have thought in this day and age that 6 months is a rather archaic considering that rabies incubation period in and animal is about 7 days?? My wife having been bitten by our recent aquired stary kitten is at this moment getting her second rabies jab. Any help would be most welcomed. |
