Default Mojo Long:Update,Ramblings and Hmas Best Wishes

Terri, I wish you the best possible holiday season with Mojo and the
rest of your family. There's just something extra special about a
shepherd, isn't there?

I was going to spend the next hour or so before I leave for class
amusing myself online, but now I think Kira and I will go take a nice
long walk by the river while the other dogs digest their dinner.
Thank you.

Debbie

Please don't do that. If you have to reply to the idiot, don't quote the
horrible things he says, especially without a warning in the subject line.
Those of us who have him killfiled would never have read that if you hadn't
quoted it.

Okay, the title says it all and is a given.
Stop reading right now if you expect happy thoughts
about the impending holidays.

Everytime if year is exactly the right time for sharing.
I started these Mojo updates for others really, who have gone
through this and also for those who find themselves dealing with the
baffling cancer by the name of *hemangiopericytoma* for the first time.
After awhile,I realised these thoughts were for me and me alone.

I get email, sometimes, about Tanith's cancer diary. People say it helps
them. I'm glad if even a tiny good thing can come out of something so
bad.

Yeah,it's been a bitch of a ride. It's also been a enlightening
ride from my end, although I don't expect anyone besides me or
others going through this to fully understand what I'm trying to
say here.

To date,it's been @ 2-3 years since the inital diagnosis.
I forget now just how many years since it's been an enormous
part of my life for so long.
Since the decision last spring not to operate for the 3rd time
in one year on Mojo,we've been in watch&wait mode for 6 months,in
in pain management for the other 6.

That often causes a rough mix of emotions - grattitude overlaid by
resentment overlaid by guilt and, since you are a sensible sort, overlaid
by the intellectual recognition that this must be so.

It was duly noted upon my subconciousness, but I really did
not want to delve too deeply into it.

I understand that impulse - I'm doing that now (fortunately not about the
pets - if you remember who I work for you may know why).

Today,I saw hair around that tumor that had been chewed as if it REALLY was
bothering him.
It's strange what you notice in this state of mind.
I notice every single little nuance that he is showing no
matter how small it may be to others.
Is his head down? More than normal than when he's just wanting extra
attention?

With my dogs I had to keep a diary to qantify what I was seeing and keep
me grounded in what was real.

I seek humorous people out so as to suck on their positive
vibes to keep me from wanting to scream "It's NOT FAIR"!!!!

Ah the h*ll with it - do both.

I am so sorry to put a taint upon the holdays of others right
now,but I will not be the only one going through this in
the world and I hope in some strange way that this will
help someone else.

I know that it does. When Lia posted her breed list request I thought of
you and the big dude.

Well it isn't my time of year so you ruin nothing. If you want to write
direct, feel free.

You brought this to Terri's attention, why? Remember MOST of us have him
filtered and don't see his stuff unless someone republishes it. Jerry can
pretty much count on someone doing that for him. And even if it hadn't
been filtered why repeat something that offensive?

Sounds like an excellent challenge, Terri. Something to aspire
to.

This is what caught my eye. Mojo is a lucky, lucky dog.

He's still so incredibly healthy looking despite his weight loss.
His coat is healthy looking as are his eyes;clear and happy in
appearance.

I think this is one of the reasons people so despise and fear cancers. It
isn't as if there aren't plenty of other deadly diseases - but cancer has
a special place. Its insidiousness is, I think, why.

Thank you. (I did write you a few times before but I don't think it
got through to you.I also had the same problem emailing Matt.)

The emailing instructions on my website ought to work. Only a few
individuals are filtered out.

Hope your Holidays treated you well.
