Years ago I had a Mastiff that used to go in a local bar and have a beer or
two...I certainly would not allow much more than that...They love the malt taste...GG "Murphy'sgal" wrote in message ups.com... so, really, folks...is it not at all safe for a 100 lb dog to have a beer?

There used to be a buffalo in a pasture down the road from us who was
notorious for his love of beer. We saw several corny pictures of him with a can gripped in his mouth and his head tilted back to drain it down his throat. In all honesty, that should include people as well.
My grandfather's sheltie mix got a small bowl of beer on Sundays. She was quite an intense dog, and it tended to mellow her - a good thing on Sundays when family gathered.
