oups.com... I find that this 20 mo old male has Champion Bloodlines: Champion Bloodlines are the two most ill-used words in any dog advertisement. They are also meaningless words. How many Champions in a five generation pedigree; how far back in the pedigree are they? How many OFA certified dogs in the pedigree? What kind of Champions? Field? Show? This is a Backyard bred dog who will make an excellent pet, but is hardly a well-bred Champion... PS: What is a pro-breeder? Ruth, Greta, Woody & Thelma |

PS: What is a pro-breeder? Typically, "pro" means "professional", ie: a breeder who can make a living breeding dogs. In other words, a puppy mill. I don't think the poster meant "pro" in this sense, though. In context, I think s/he meant "knowledgeable". -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

In context, I think s/he meant "knowledgeable". I suppose that's what the OP intended to convey. However if you look at the web site from which he's trying to sell this dog (http://www.weimaraner.inkjot.com/) you'll see that he came from a pet shop and his parentage is "Ruger VII x Zena III". That ought to be enough to tip off the knowledgable that "pro breeder" is almost certainly the correct categorization in this case. JFWIW, Dianne |

In the context of the post I was responding to, though, the OP was thanking a "pro-breeder" for help with reading pedigrees. I assumed s/he was referring to Christy (not a pro-breeder or even a breeder), for her help in explaining Roman numerals. But, to agree with you on everything else, I think the OP hasn't evolved much past pond scum. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |
