I have learned that most puppies and dogs don't like their front feet
held so they can't get down. So .....if I get a puppy or dog that won't stop juping on people I hold their front feet/legs and tell them NO....no jumping. They try to get down but don't let them right away. You only have to hold them for a few seconds usually. With some patents after a few days usually most of the puppies/ dogs will stop jumping up on people. I have trained many puppies and dogs this way. It does seem to work on about 85% of them. You can also buy a no-jumping harness. I have never tried one though but some people recommended one to me when I first had the jumping problem about 8 years ago. I perfer the above method that my one vet recommended. Laurie ~A dog has a very short life. Their only fault, really~ |
