I am an attorney representing a disabled women who was the victim of
domestic violence. (Her disability is total and permanent, as
determined by the Social Security Administration.) She had a
trained "personal protection dog," a German Shepard. A driver killed
that dog and another dog on or about December 7, 2004 in Oak Brook,
Illinois. Thereafter, her ex-husband began "acting out" and appears
threatening. The dog previously detered this behavior and kept her
physically safe.

After much work with various parties, we found a good dog for her
purposes. The price was reduced by the owner, given this woman's
circumstances, from $8,500.00 to $5,800.00. My client has no assets,
and, in fact, has been ordered to file for bankruptcy.

Does anyone have any information about:

1.) Corporate sponsors or angels;
2.) Charities that might help;
3.) PR or advertising agencies that might have one more helpful
clients;
4.) Government programs that might help;
5.) Grant programs that might help; or,
6.) Any other sources of funding.

This disabled woman needs help and she needs this dog. I am out of
ideas. Please help me with whatever information you may have.
