Our 3 year old lab has a peanut-sized lump on the elbow of his front
leg. It has been there at least 2 months (when we got him from the shelter) and 2 different needle aspirations have been "inconclusive." A biopsy was taken and sent to the CSU vet hospotal but it will take a week for the results. Blood work has been normal. It's hard and under the skin. It's so hard the vet was unable to do a slice biopsy and had to take a core instead. What puzzles the vet is that each procedure (aspirations and biopsy) has generated a lot of "milky white fluid". This might indicate a foreign body but it looks like another small lump is forming indicating some kind of growth. |
