What breed of dog is the one in the middle row on page 12?

Border Terrier (his name is Tucker)

I had a hunch but wasn't sure, specially since he is in motion. I love the
look of the breed, am a sucker for the scraggly look anyway, but seeing one
in motion is very cool. I've only ever seen still shots of the dogs
sitting, napping or otherwise still.

I like the breed a lot, but mostly see them IN motion! ;-D There are
several that race flyball (and several that I have as teammates).

Janet B said in rec.pets.dogs.breeds:

Franklin:

Thanks, that wasn't the page 12 which came up originally for me.
Strange.

yes. and no aussies on that page!

Yah, yah, yah. I went to "Classes 1-17" looking for page 12.
So shoot me! Wait, maybe I should rephrase that.

paintball gun? water (w/out vinegar of course!)?

don't know the aussies on that page (but the BCs - 1st and 2nd in
middle row) were on Franklin's team. 2 very different looking BCs!

There are some great shots of Rum on Victor Steele's website from the
Beltway Bandits tournament

Don't have time to look right now, but I definitely will! I met Rum when
she was just a wee'un, and I'd love to see how she looks now. :-)

Which I'm glad you mentioned this - the Steeles were the photographers for
the JRTCA Nationals this fall, and I'd forgotten that there are a couple of
shots of Rocsi I want to get prints of.

BTW, speaking of meeting wee'uns - met one of your PK students a couple of
nights ago. The alleged Pit-Lab, Snarla... what a cutie! Rocsi thought she
was just great, and they played wrassle and biteyface for quite some time.

I have to say, though, that once again I think the SPCA staff is
WAAAAAAAAAAAY off on their breed IDs; I see NO Lab or Pit in that pup (she
isn't built even remotely like either breed).
My guess would be smooth BC or smooth Collie crossed with something
else....

I didn't think she was one of ours - she would have had a contract as
a pit mix, and she doesn't. I think she's a great puppy - her color
is so soft and I like her build. Her owners are very nice too.

I may have misunderstood the owners, or they me, but I asked if she was
from the SPCA and they said yes. Not that it's a big deal. G

I really like the way she's put together - and the personality. Bold
without being super-pushy... and she's fairly responsive, too.

Yep. They seem like sensible, down-to-earth folks, with a good perspective
on things.
