http://www.growlery.com/puppies/DSCN1924_small.JPG - Mollie in the kitchen an hour ago. She has a thinner face than her brother, and her ears stick up, while his either flop over, or one up and one down. I am guessing he also has like 10 pounds of weight on her. Dang, I like the looks of Mollie. These are just quick grab-shots, not the kind of photography I normally do. Just thought you'd like to see what they look like now - since they change so fast. Quick grab-shots is what you've gotta do with dogs. That's why digital cameras were invented. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

What's large for a Golden? He's certainly much taller than those I see in agility, at least 2 or 3 inches taller than 24" Rocky. And you're right: his coat *is* lovely and he's a *very* nice dog. that WOULD be tall. He's doesn't appear bulky though, so I guess that tempered the height (which doesn't look too tall in pics, but from your description.....). A male Golden should be about 24". 3" taller is a very tall boy! A lot of very red Goldens that I see don't have a dense coat like that, nor the nice full and even feathering on the tail. His coat is in such lovely shape, and that's always nice to see. -- Janet B www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bestfr...ence/my_photos |

heck - with just 2, it's assigned! In this house, when at my sides, boys eat on my left, girls on my right - dogs and cats. Yup, I started on food stations once Dog 2 came along. Rocky, as a puppy, thought nothing of pushing good ol' Murphy away from her food. Murphy allowed it, which was strange, because she corrected him about other things. The easy answer to my situation was to train Rocky to eat only at his station. He got an "OK" to start his meal and had to sit when he'd finished. It still works well, though I no longer enforce the "sit'n'stay when finished". -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

Emmett is a bossy-pants and everybody knows he's a bossy-pants, and all it takes is for him to show up and stare for the other dogs to abandon their food, toys, chewies, etc. and leave it all to him. Lucy would eat all of the food if she didn't have the very strict rule that the only time you ever go to another dg's bowl is AFTER all food is gone. Saliva sharing is popular. They eat about 1.5" apart. -- Janet B www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bestfr...ence/my_photos |
