Steve, this is a discussion group which talks about dog breeds and other
related subjects, not a breeder's group, so you're not likely to get much of
a response.
If you were in the US I'd direct you to the JRTCA's site for a list of
breeders, and to the Russell Rescue site, but unfortunately I'm not sure
where you'd start in Wales.
I hope you're able to find a good breeder somewhere near you.

Hehhe..there's a town near here called North Wales (PA, USA), but I never
would have known the OP lived in the UK unless I looked at his headers.

Hi Steve,
We're in Aberystwyth, and got our JR Cai from a local breeder called
Hywel

I'll try and find his details for you.
They're lovely fit bright dogs, lively as a box of frogs!
One thing though,they are proper bred-for-hunting animals,long
legged, rough coated,as opposed to the smooth coated short legged
variety and are also in need of a good deal of excercise.

Stephen

Sorry, I'm late as ever...

You could try here... www.terriertalk.co.uk
Its a lively forum for terrier owners in the UK. Someone there might know a
contact or two, and if you're willing to consider a rescue there are plenty
of people to point you in the right direction.

Funny you sign your post with the same name as the breeder you mentioned?

And by long, legged I take it you're referring to Parson Russells and not
Jack Russells?

Take another look, please. Hywel and hwyl are not the same word.
"Hywel" is a name (the English version is "Howell"), while "hwyl" is a
salutation, roughly equivalent to "cheers".
