this is an unmoderated group, so i don't know how you plan to
go about "shutting it down." i suppose you could petition
your provider to stop carrying it, but i can guarantee you
they'll just laugh at you.

i don't know what other posters' TOSes have to say about
profanity, but mine doesn't prohibit it. IME, few do.

as for children reading messages here, a child who is young
enough to need protection from foul language is also young
enough that s/he should not be on-line without parental
supervision. it's not my job (or anyone else's here) to raise
someone else's kids for them.

did i say I was going to try and get it shut down? and PS i could be
wrong but this IS webtv/msntv (whatever) DG same as some of the wwe
groups that got shut down for saying a lot less. I was just pointing out
that some of what was said doesnt fit a dog group and could end up
getting this place canned. PPS for the most part this WAS a nice group.

you are using incomprehensible alphabet soup (WWE, DG,
MSNTV?).

WebTV has no control over this newsgroup. it does not have
the authority or even the ability to shut it down.

i don't think you understand. there is no way anyone can
"can" rec.pets.dogs.behavior. you might be able to get your
provider to stop carrying it, but that won't get rid of the
newsgroup.

You might be able to get your ISP to stop carrying it (are you webtv, oh whatta
shock, apologies in advance to the small sentient contingent of webtv users) but
you can't get it "shutdown". Silly.
