Default Dog Tags ?

Hi Guys/Gals

We have a great beagle puppy (about a year old) and my wife purchased
all the necessary tags. The problem is he has this pretty white chest and
these darn tags keep wearing grey off onto it. I tried coating the tags with
nail polish. . . didn't work. Tried dipping them in polyurathane, letting
them dry for several days. . . worked for about a week. Now his chest is
getting dirty from them again. Any suggestions? Thanks

Of the three tags my dogs used to wear (they only wear 2 now),
only one was aluminum and caused discolouring. I made it the
middle tag.

Other than that, I've seen tag holders (pouches) that clip to a
dog's collar.

You can get plastic tags from a bunch of different places.

In my situation, is was the city license tag that was staining
the fur (this was Murphy in another city - the license tags here
are stainless steel).
