Default Pitchurs!

despite the rainy gross weather, elliott managed to coax harriet (who
melts in the rain) into a fearsome game of biteyface this afternoon.
i didn't get any shots of that, but i took some pictures of them
enjoying their post-dinner nap. you can see elliott's white eyebrows,
which didn't show up in his birthday picture. you can also see the
weird, kinky texture of his tail hair.

I have got to delurk here for a moment...I can't remember, do you
know what breed/mix Elliott is? My Trixie had the exact same type
of hair on her tail. I used to say she looked like those "crimp and
curl" Cabbage patch dolls, the hair was kind of like /\/\/\/\/\.

We never knew her mix, some kind of northern breed, from her curled
tail and the roo-roos we got and the fuzzy little ears. I usually
said Malamute mix when asked.

I have a pic he

too bad it doesn't show her tail, but it's just like Elliott's!

i could be misremembering, but i think Matt has said that Rocky's tail
hair is somewhat similar to elliott's--kinky and soft. Trixie looks
to me like she could've had some Aussie in her, with maybe some
northern breed, like Malamute. whatever she was, she was a beautiful
girl!

Harriet's got personality and is uber cute and all that,
but I've always had a thing for Elliott. He's got that
"please fondle my head look".

doesn't he just? he used to hate being fussed at, but he's gotten to
where he really enjoys it. he gets the cutest "aw shucks" sleepy bear
look on his face when you rub his head. and then he dances. there
are few things cuter than a dancing brindle bear.

That picture really shows off his gorgeous brindle
coloring well.
BTW,his tail is remarkably close to what the wild & weird
hair on Luke's back looks like when wet. We call
it Luke's bad hair day, which is more often than not.

you should make little afro puffs along his back. HTH!

thanks! that's pandora, who will be 16yo next month. it's
hard to believe she's been with me that long. she's as sassy
as ever, too. this morning she was running turbo laps up and
down the hallway, just for the sheer joy of it.
