Default Speaking of Dogs Pooping in the House.........

In another thread, there was talk of a dog who ocassionally pooped
inside the house (in the same spot). My question is along the same
grain but slightly different. My newly adopted dog would *rather* poop
in the house and will if I don't keep taking him out over and over and
over after he's eaten (like every 10 minutes until he finally does it).
He gets tons and tons of praise when he poops outside and he's
especially great about pooping on our walks. But if given the chance,
he'll sneak and poop inside. No problem with peeing -- always does
that outside. And he will especially fight pooping outside when it's
raining. He'll pee outside in the rain with no problem, but pooping is
a real challenge on a rainy day. Any suggestions?

Don't give him the chance Supervise at all times, put him on a tie
down when you are watching TV or whatever. Take him outside to poop,
if he doesn't, take him in and either put him in a crate, or on a tie
down for 10 minutes. Take him back out. Praise him when he goes.
Repeat as necessary. Even on rainy days, get an umbrella for yourself
and wait it out
