Default Your favorite on line pet supply?

What is your favoirte internet pet supply resource? Do you have different
favorites for different things?

Toys (like Kongs and Bustercubes)
Collaers and leashes
Crates
Food

On the opposite note - let's say there was a list of eleven internet
supply stores and you were familiar with all eleven. Pick one from this
imaginary list that you would remove to cut the list to 10. It doesn't
have to be something bad about it, just not meeting your top ten
standards.

In order of greatness with 1 being the greatest, IMO:

1. JB Pet Wholesale at www.jbpet.com
2. SitStay.com
3. Drs Foster & Smith
4. AllPetsConsidered.com
5. PetsMegaStore.com

All of mine are one-stop shopping.

Ebay.

I don't buy much online, preferring to buy from local small retailers if I
can, but if I can't find something locally at a reasonable price, I'll shop
around online. I've bought Advantage from Ebay at half the price of local
stores, I've bought tapeworm meds from an online store in Australia for a
fraction of the cost of the vet, and I've bought crates and other items from
JBPet. I also like to buy toys and other goodies from Cleanrun.com.

The only things I buy online are those that I can't find
locally, which really is only 1) dog books (I use
dogwise.com) and 2) mushing supplies (favorites are
coldspotfeeds.com and alpineoutfitters.net). I think it's
really important to support local small business.

I really like www.dogpack.com - they don't have a huge selection, but the
products they carry are wonderful and they help support rescue.

1. SitStay.com --I buy what I can there, they have fabulous customer
service
and they have an affiliate program with Belgian rescue. (Same thing with
Beauty of the Beast --but they are for people clothes)

2. PetEdge --they are CHEAP when you buy over $50.00, or in bulk. I buy
more
spendy items from them, esp. things that SitStay doesn't carry. For
example
like the replacement dog door, my gear/grooming bag, and they have
great deals on scissors/shears & grooming smocks if you just watch for them.
Plus, they also have great customer service (I had a heck of a time getting
the right size flap for doggie door & they were great).

3. J & J's --While they are more costly, you can get a lot of things there
that
you would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. Their products are good,
quality
merchandise. And they are VERY helpful (I bought a dumbell that I had
customized--high bells for pointy noses, but lightweight & a not-so-big bar)
and
the woman that helped me was excellent. Plus they have books & dvd's.

4. PetVetDirect --The last few times I've checked, they were the cheapest
for
the joint supplements I buy (Synovi G3). They are very fast, and have
reasonable
shipping fees.

Pretty much everything else is hit & miss. I do like Care-a-Lot pets,
because
they carry the Premier martingale collars & I love those, plus they carry
inexpensive plastic dumbells. We have a Coastal Farm Supply and Wilco Farm
store locally that I buy most of my toys/treats at, and I've bought crates
from
them before. AND you can take your dog inside, so when I wanted to
purchase a
tent crate, I went there (Coastal carries the Petmate Pet Home style that I
wanted)
and let Bodhi "test run" the two sizes in question.
I love, love, love DogWise and 3C's (family owned), but they are somewhat
"local", so I just wait until I see them at shows so I can skip the
shipping. Plus I can actually see & hold the item in question before
making a final purchase. They've got everything from fun
leads & collars to show supplies, to toys, stainless steel buckets & bowls,
grooming
supplies, crates, X-pens & grooming tables. They also partner up with
DogWise at
shows & have a small section of books in their area as well. They truly are
"One Stop
Shopping".

Because of this, 3C's is my "all-time favorite" place to buy any sort of
doggie stuff, and they are online--I just never shop online from them.

PetEdge is best for toys in bulk for prizes, etc. You can get them for
..99 cents each and nice ones too--I think most agility people order
Zanies from PetEdge for trials!

For crates, I've always found Omaha Vaccine to have the best price
(
www.omahavaccine.com). Other than that, I use KV Vet for Glycoflex and
for Mutt Mitts--theirs are cheaper than you can get them at the
manufacturer! www.kvvet.com.

J&J. Not because they don't have quality products, they do. But because
they are very expensive!

I normally buy from local Mom & Pop brick and mortar stores, but
when I go online there's only one good Canadian source that I've
found which is independent on the big chains:
