My dog is on new medication requiring her to need the toilet more often.
She has occassionally not been able to alert me on time and pee'd on a
rug which I have now had to throw away (the rug not the dog). I had
tried cleaning the rug but she then went again to pee in the same place
so she could probably still smell it there. In the past she has been
able to hold it in and alerted me on time.

Is there some sort of litter tray I can buy for emergencies or does that
only work with cats? I am not sure what else to do as I cannot keep
taking her out every couple of hours during the night (and over the past
week I have had to do that a few times when she has woken me up) and
there will be occassions where she is left on her own for periods of
time. Also, if there is such a thing, how can I train her to use it
given for the past 10 years she has been able to wait till relieving
herself outside until now?
