Default Doggie All You Can Eat ?

I went to petsmart today and was looking at dog stuff and asked the
lady about feeding puppies and she said to let them eat all that they
want up to 1 year old and they would be in great shape.

Do you guys buy this?

Thanks

Thanks for the great info. From my reading it appears that these
foods are in the top quality:

Innova
California Natural
Canidae
Sensible Choice
Solid Gold
Pinnacle
Wysong

What is the best value ? I don't want to spend more on dog food than
on my own food. hehe What is a top quality dog food at a good
price? Thanks !

It all depends on how your dogs do on the food. Innova gave Wojo very
loose stools. I've heard negative things about Solid Gold from other
GSD owners. I've fed raw, Canidae, Pro Plan and Bil-Jac with success.
I tried Authority once when I was having health problems and was trying
to cut expenses. My dogs lost weight on it, which was not a good thing
for them.

The breeders of your puppies should tell you what they have been
feeding and what they recommend.

my corgi breeder uses Diamond which appears to be a good middle quality
dog food from my limited reading on the net.

it depends on which variety you get. not all Diamond foods
are good. there are a couple that i'll feed in a pinch, but i
wouldn't want to feed them long term.

if good quality food and crates are too expensive for you, you
have no business getting dogs.

yep. I have a ton of inquiries on Alex. Nobody suitable yet. A few
have asked "how much does he cost?" I was thinking about responding
with a long list of costs from now (~14 weeks) until eventual demise
of ~14 years. That would be an eye opener for many!

Fortunately, some of the "costs" have been pre-paid here. I already
own several crates, collars, leashes, bowls, toys, etc. No extra
purchases needed. The only thing I've bought for him specifically so
far is his puppy food (CA Natural Puppy). His vaccinations and
giardia meds are paid for by rescue (I think I can get reimbursed for
food too, but I really don't care if I do), as will his neutering. I
wonder if "bring me's" breeders have explained a limited registration
with s/n condition contract?

i sincerely doubt it. i can't imagine any sort of responsible
breeder selling pups to him, so that leaves irresponsible back
yard breeders. i doubt they give a rat's behindermost parts
what he does with the pups after the checks have cleared.

Ideally, but I know I may have to yield on that. His object-guarding
(w/other dogs) is an issue that new owners have to be capable of
dealing with, whether he is the only dog or one of another or more.

Family yesterday was nice, but other dog had a slight issue with that
as well, and there was another dog too. And, they worked 9.5 hours
every day......

Contract? What contract?

yeah - I'm doubting that "bring me" has dealt with responsible
breeders
