Default Pulmonic stenosis - Pomeranian

My dog is a 5 months Pomeranian (1.4 kg), he was suspected
to have Pulmonic stenosis, as the vet said they heard of
strange sounds in his heart. I brought him to several vet,
and they are pretty confirmed about that.

My question is, is that a 'must' to undergo balloon dilation
on my dog? There is no vet in my country who is able to do
this surgery, I really appreciate if you can give me some suggestion, I
am thinking of bring my dog to US and do the surgery
in there.

Pulmonary stenosis, a balloon dilation is the only way to "fix" the problem.
There is no pill, and I cannot imagine any type of surgery to replace the
narrowed section with a graft from another vessel IF you could find one.
Especially not on a dog, especially outside of a vet school or very large
surgical practice.

Now, the question is if your dog MUST have the procedure. That all depends
on how your pup is doing now and how bad the narrowing is. The defect will
not get better or improve on it's own. If anything, the symptoms will get
worse. The pulmonary vessels are to/from the lung to the heart. As the pup
gets older and should be more active he will be short of breath, his heart
rate will increase, and he will become lethargic as he cannot deliver the
oxygen to his brain and heart and all of the other parts of the body. You
may notice his gums becoming "blue" instead of a nice health pink.

It is a shame that you so not have direct access to some more diagnostic
testing, such as an echocardiogram - this test actually SHOWS how narrow the
vessel is. But all is going to depend on your pup and how his body
compensates for the defect.

Sorry I cannot give you another brighter side.
