I have a 9 month old Yorkie x... she developed a high temp, but carried on
eating for the first 24 hours. Her stools have remained normal and there has been no vomiting. She became depressed and reluctant to walk due to her feeling sore from the temp. On examination my vet said she could not feel any blockages in her tummy, and prescribed anti-biotics and gave her a jab to bring her temp down and also an antibiotic jab. Also prescribed rehydration fluids (I asked for them as I knew she would stop drinking). She said she was baffled and to return in 2 days if she was no better. The jab for her temp worked wonders... she was running around as normal for a few hours... this morning she is no longer eating all her food, (she made an attempt) and she has stopped drinking, and she is hot. Stools are still normal, and she is still urinating. She is back to being depressed again today. Any ideas? I am confused! |

There must be an infection somewhere if there was a good reaction to the antibiotic. buglady take out the dog before replying |
