Default Dawg teeth cleaning and epoxy filler

Dawg teeth cleaning and epoxy filler

Good folks,

I belong to an 8 year old Brittany spaniel. Generally very
healthy but she's starting to have dental problems.

Vet sez she's got advanced periodental disease, measured
a pocket or 2 of gum space of 6 mm (none should be greater
than 3 mm?).

I am on a monumentally tight budget but I hope to scare
up enought $ to do at least minimal dental work necessary.
When I called the vet for a firm quote on cost of dental,
vet recommended teeth cleaning -and- epoxy filler for the
6 mm pockets ($159). 'Tis $103 for only teeth cleaning.

Is anyone knowledgable re the epoxy filler business? I've
never heard of it before. New bleeding-edge procedure?
Possible complications? Any hard evidence that it is 100%
advisable?

Thanks,
Puddin'

You might ask your regular dentist about this. I think epoxy has been used
for a while in dental work but it may be new to pets.
