Default Kennel Cough Treatment

My dog has had a hacking cough leading to retching and hasn't been eating
very much for the last week. I took her to the vet and she was assumed to
have a form of kennel cough (even though she hasn't really been near a dog),
she also has a heart murmur. She was prescribed Oxycare, Enacard and
Corvental D. She doesn't seem to be getting better so I've looked up the
treatments on the net and now know the latter treatments are heart tablets
and to widen the airwaves. I cannot find out what the other treatment
(oxycare) is. Can someone enlighten me please? Also does this treatment seem
correct for the symptoms?

Many thanks

James

your vet should be checking that murmor with a sonogram. also there is
another condition called mega-esophagous, it can cause food not to o
directly into the stomach and could be serious, cause lung problems.

Just a quick update. After consulting another vet. It seems fluid had built
up due to a heart problem and was pressing on her lungs. After a few days
she got increasingly worse and we finally had to have her put to sleep.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions

James
