I don't know what this puppy wizard junk is all about but find it
un-needed and un helpful.

Since you use Outlook Express you can just killfile him (messageblock
sender). He changes identities sometimes. Just keep killfiling him. Just
don't feed him with responses.

I hope you find some answers. Best of luck and keep us posted.

rec.pets.dogs.health:

ER visit would not help as the syptoms have not changed so
we are waiting for more BC tomorrow.

As buglady wrote, I wonder why your vet isn't treating this as
an emergency situation.

More heelp?

I only have the personal experience to advise you on the seizure
drugs. Good luck.

Sorry to say our beloved pet "Sport" was put to rest today. After another
long night he would not eat, or drink and was too weak to fight any longer.
We chose to end his suffering after no other options were available. We
stayed with him to the end and sent him off to his rest with pieces of our
own hearts. He is missed greatly. Rest in Peace you special little guy! You
were truly one of a kind and will never be replaced.

Our 5 year old Jack Russell is very sick! Need advice

History : He is a 99.8% indoor dog. Only had 1 tick ever and that was a
few
hours at most.
He has had seizures for about a year and lessened w/ phenobarbitol now for
about 9 months.
About a month ago he got an ear infection and got a cortizone shot for
pain
with an antibiotic.

Blood counts were messed up so our new vet wanted to wean off the
barbitol.
Recently started on Potassium Bromide and doxicyclene to help with
ear/other
infection and wean him off the barbitol. and we started on the bromide.
This latest episode came on suddenly, overnight. He was fine at night then
50% of his normal
self in the AM. He showed a swollen belly and had difficulty standing.
Lethargic and labored breathing.
Glands normal, Temp as high as 105.3 brought down to 102.? with submersion
in water 3-4 hours apart.
Vet says to keep on the doxicyclene and see what will happen.

anyone had a similar exp with good outcome. We hate to lose him but don't
want to make him suffer either.

HELP if you can

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pet members of the family fill a void and
when they leave us it can feel empty. Keep your memories close and know you
did everything you could to give Sport a healthy and comfortable life.
