I have an 8 year old Labrador dog. He's in extremely good health and
has had no medical problems in the past. 3 month's ago I moved house and I've noticed an increase in the time my dog spends scratching at his body and licking his paws. I haven't detected any fleas but have administered flea treatment anyway, it didn't help. I suspect he's allergic to something but I haven't got a clue what it could be. I haven't changed his diet, he gets Pedigree Chum meat; I guess it could be something in the house or the new areas I walk him, I used to take him over some fields but I now live near a canal so I walk him there and in a local park, I suspect it's here where the allergic reaction occurs. What treatments would you recommend? Thanks Darren |

What treatments would you recommend? Our Inca developed inflammation of her pads, the vet thought she might be allergic to something in the grass. He prescribed a spray (Genesis Topical Spray - solution of 0.015% Triamcinolone acetonide) that has worked wonders. My understanding is that it's a mild corticosteroid that helps with the inflammation and the itchiness. Tirya |
