Thanks for your suggestions. I already suggested to the vet that it might
be the kidney problem that wheatons are
prone to. He didn't think so because there was no protein in her urine and
everything else was within normal
range.. She did have an infection when she was first
diagnosed, but that cleared up with antibiotics.
The prescription food was CD and now she's on SO with
this she seems to be peeing alot more at times. The Vet
wants another sample earlier.
I really can't contact her breeder because we bought her
from a pet store. OK I'll accept all the crap for purchasing a dog from
a store, but I look at it as a kind of rescue and finding her was fate.
(long story with that)
I do have the name and address so I think I will write them to see if her
mom had any problems.
By the way, I did put their address through this agency that
investigates pet shop breeders and they did get a good
rating. Oh well thanks again for the suggestions.

Hi, I have a 15 month old Wheaton pup. When she was about 10 months
old
she started to develop crystals in her urine. She was put on a
prescription
food and they cleared up for apx 2 months but now has developed them
again. She
is now on another prescription food. Other than this problem she is in
great health. Has anyone else experienced this problem and can you
suggest a
food when she comes off the special diet.
...........what kind of crystals? Can you get the lab reports? Had any
bloodwork done? What's the prescription food?
