Default Lot's of cheese.

One of my two dogs just got michiefous and managed to pull a deli bag off
the counter. In it was a half a pound of American cheese. Other than
constipation does this cause any problems??? TIA!

Sorry, I meant mischievous. Anyways, I just called a local clinic and they
said I should prepare for bloat. From what I have heard this could be
deadly. What symptoms should I look for?

check here for more info: http://www.animalhealthchannel.com/gdv/. what
kind of dog is it? i don't usually think of bloat when i think of a dog
stealing some cheese. bloat usually is more of an issue for large, barrell
chested dogs.

i'm not a vet, but i'd think Pancreatitis could be something to worry about
as well. http://www.swif****erfarms.com/swift...ncreatitis.htm

The trouble maker is a little mutt. She has Jack Russel tendencies and body
but we were told she was Portuguese Podango ( Portuguese Grey Hound) even
though she doesn't much look like one, she is 28.5 pounds. The other is
another mix. We have been told she is Chow and Golden Retriever (70 lbs.).
They said we need to worry about Bailey (the larger dog). Maybe someone her
will have a clue what either one is:

If they are worried about excess gas is it OK for the dog to take something
like gasx. I"m not suggesting giving it to the dog without vetenary
approval but I would call and ask them if there is something you can give
them.
