Default Good Thoughts needed

For the last few weeks, we've been finding small puddles of Cat vomit around
the house...but both cats seemed fine, were eating and drinking, etc so we
figured someone was working on a hairball.

This morning, while getting the boys ready for a Christmas party, I noticed
Miskit had not moved from the same spot on the carpet for a couple of hours.
Investigating closer I discovered her lethargic, skin hanging loose and
(worst) vomit around her mouth where she hadn't cleaned herself after being
sick :-( When I picked her up, Macula barked and nosed her...and she didn't
react at all. :-(((((

So while I took the boys to the party, Herb took Miskit to the Vet. And
there she stays. She's lost three pounds, is jaundice and dehydrated (even
though I know she was drinking last night). Best case scenario,
apparently, is that she's jaundce because she isn't eating and once they get
some food into her she'll be fine. But...

I got Miskit the summer before I met Herb. She was a little feral kitten
living in a tree in my brother's yard. She's only seven years old.

Crap. I don't need this right now...

Good thoughts, please.

You've got them. Fingers and paws crossed that the vet will find a quick
solution and that Miskit will soon be home and feeling fine once again.

You have all of mine. I hope it turns out to be easily treated and that she

poor girl! it's always worrisome when a pet becomes sick, but
i somehow think it's worse when it happens to a cat. they can
get awfully sick awfully quickly.

Crap. I don't need this right now...

absolutely. i'm thinking good thoughts for Miskit, and for
your family.
