(TV5) -- Police are hot on the trail of the dog killer. Investigators say they believe
they know who is responsible for the shootings. They say the adult male suspect may have
killed at least three family dogs and he will likely face charges for the grief he's
caused.

Dogs have turned up missing in an Argentine Township (In Michigan) for a few months and
now three of them turned up dead in the same vicinity with similar wounds. Now police and
neighbors are wondering who killed their dogs and whether there may be more victims.

Missing pet posters started appearing all around town near Thanksgiving. Pictures of
Shelby, Barkley and Lexie even made their way to the Argentine Township Police Department.

The owners hoping their dogs simply lost their way home but the dogs never returned
instead all three Barkely, Lexie, and Shelby turned up shot to death in a swampy area near
a neighbor’s yard. Each suffered a high powered rifle bullet would to the head or shoulder
area. Shelby's owner says he found her with her paws tied together, helpless, not far from
where he lives on Seymour Road.
